A GENEROUS GIVER Thank you for your generosity. Your contribution is tax deductible and you will receive a gift receipt at the end of the year for your offering. Consider GENEROSITY. Generosity means Kindness; compassion, gentleness, helpfulness, openhandedness; bigheartedness, charity, liberality (which is abundant giving). God is GENEROUS. He is a giver. He gave us the world. He gave us life. He gave us order. He gave us structure. He gave us mercy. He gave us grace. He gave us Jesus. He gave us chance, opportunity and choice. He gave us access to Himself. The most commonly known scripture in the Bible, John 3:16, is all about God giving. Without His generosity we would be lost, destitute and determined for a horrible future. But thanks be to God for His generosity that liberates us from all bondages, hindrances, and harm. Proverbs 11:25 tells us that the generous soul will be made rich. Second Corinthians 9:6-8 speaks of how much we control the return (what we get back) on our release (what we let go). Our ability to live in abundance is connected to our willingness to give with a generous heart. It is never about the amount that we give. It is always about the spirit (attitude) by which we give. Let me encourage you to mirror your heavenly father and give generously. God so desperately wants to make His grace abound toward you so that you will always have sufficiency, and He will as you join Him in the spirit of generosity. Decide today that you are going to be a GENEROUS person and with compassion, gentleness, helpfulness, openhandedness, bigheartedness, charity and liberality - give! |
